TWACK Donald Michael Dec. 20, 1936 - Mar. 20, 2009 With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Don, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes and its many complications. He is finally at peace. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Sharon and his children, Kim (Norm Bell) Twack of Calgary, Patti Twack of Moose Jaw and Michael Twack of Kelowna. He will also be lovingly remembered by his stepchildren Carey (Donna Mae) Winquist of St. Albert, Sandra Burger of Edmonton, Todd Winquist of Sherbrooke and Jody (Donovan) Ryan of Doha, Qatar. His brother Ted (Ruth) Twack of Calgary and sister Helen (Jack) Brooks of Lacombe and their families are also left to mourn his passing. Don's grandchildren will also greatly miss their "Grampa Don", who loved and enjoyed them so much. He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Mabel Twack of Red Deer. Don was raised in Red Deer where he participated in many sports, especially baseball and curling, in and around central Alberta. In his later years he was in the hotel business in Alberta & BC, retiring in 2000. As per Don's wishes his body has been donated to the Anatomical Gifts Program at the U of A and there will be no memorial service.
