Dora passed away peacefully at the Innisfail Care Centre with her family at her side at the age of 82. Dora was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. At a very young age she moved to Vancouver and lived there until 1960 when she and her family moved to Red Deer, then to Calgary and finally settling in Innisfail. Dora's day always brightened when she had her family around her. She was an avid softball player, loved to fish, crochet, do crafts and play bingo. She was predeceased by her parents, brother and a daughter, Nancy. She will be remembered by her loving husband of 65 years, Harvey Thompson; five children, Wendy Hehn (Bill) of Red Deer, Victoria Webster (Don) of Calgary, Larry Thompson of Medicine Hat, Robert Thompson (Janet) of Calgary and Stewart Thompson (Tina) of Canmore. She will also be missed by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Dora will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 4027 - 48 Avenue, Innisfail, AB on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
