Mrs. Doris Walker of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre ~ Area Three, Rimbey on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Doris will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son, Brian (Maureen) Walker of Millet; her six daughters, Pat (Allan) Muddle of Rimbey; Jan Grant of Red Deer; Rose (Jim) Stutheit of Rimbey; Peg (Aaro) Simonson of Tappen, B.C.; Gayle (Ed) Rondeel of Rimbey; and Bonnie Walker of Red Deer; and her special friend, Susan Walker of Edmonton; as well as sixteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her brother, Jim (Madge) Goodall of Derbyshire, England; in addition to her nieces, nephews, many friends, and neighbors. Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband, Burt in 1985; her infant son, Jimmy in 1951; her son-in-law, Bill Grant in 2008; one brother, Tom Goodall; and one sister, Mary Goodall. A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Doris' Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 36, Rimbey on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. A Private Family Interment will take place at a later date in the Beechmont Cemetery, Edmonton.
