DAY Dorothy "Vivian" Day of Calgary passed away peacefully in Calgary on October 10th, 2009 at the age of 70 years. Vivian was born in Calgary, Alberta and raised on a farm near Delburne, Alberta attending school at Belgrove and Red Deer. She was married to William George Day in 1959 and was a dedicated wife, mother and friend all her life. She enjoyed travelling and playing cards along with many crafts and cooking for her family. Vivian is survived by her children, Pamela Baxter and Rodney Day (Heather), grandchildren, Katie Baxter, Kristen Baxter, Travis Diemert and Billy Day, all of Calgary, brother, Lauris Beck (Marilyn), sisters, Veda Ford (Tom) of Calgary, Lenora Kerr (Vincent) of Winnipeg and Leslie Clark (Graham) of Oakville. She is predeceased by her husband, Bill Day in 1987 and companion Bob Emmelkamp in 2005. Funeral Services will be held at the Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer on Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 at 1:00 pm with internment to follow in the Alto-Reste Memorial Gardens.
