Dorothy Gladys

1929 - 2014

It is with deep sadness that the family of Dorothy Gladys 'Dot' Repas announces her passing at the Red Deer Hospice on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Dorothy was born on March 12, 1929 at Alsask, Saskatchewan. She later moved to Rimbey, Alberta, where she met and married her husband, Vidor William Repas in 1946. The couple was happily married for fifty-eight years until Vidor's passing on March 21, 2005. Dot and Vidor farmed and raised their family in the Leedale Area West of Rimbey. They moved to Red Deer, Alberta in 1974. During retirement, Dot and Vidor enjoyed visiting and hosting friends and family get togethers. They loved camping and taking tours to Reno, Nevada and also touring throughout Western Canada. After Vidor's passing, Dot continued to enjoy family visits and greeting friends in her home; which she cared for and lived in until the time of her passing. Dot was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. Many wonderful memories of Dot and Vidor will be cherished by their children and spouses, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, friends and neighbors in the years to come. Dot will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Shirley (Rick) Horn, son, Brian (Linda) Repos, daughter, Bonnie (Roger) Hinse and daughter, Brenda Boulding (Tim Benson). She will also be sadly missed by her loving and caring brother, Gordon Gauley, grandchildren, Sheri, Lonny, Dean, Dawn, Nicole, Shannon, Troy and Brittany and her great grandchildren, Cali, Paris, Wyatt, Lyric, Marley and Isabela. Dot was predeceased by her mother and father, Norman and Olive Gauley, brothers, Alf and Bill and their wives, a granddaughter, Cheryl and loving son-in-law, Kent Boulding.

In Death you are still beside us,

Just in a different way."


Respecting both Dot and Vidor's wishes, no Formal Funeral Service will be held. Their heartfelt desire was to be remembered for their Love and the good times had with family and friends. If desired, Memorial Donations in Dot's honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice at www.reddeerhospice.com.
