Dorothy Rosalie

In loving memory of Dorothy Baragar, who passed away peacefully at her new residence Villa Marie, Red Deer, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, in 1997 after 53 years of marriage. She is survived by her three sons; Donald and Jack ( Grande Prairie) and Ray (Sylvan Lake); two sisters, Lillian McKeand (Price Albert), Minnie Borshowa (Weyburn), along with numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Born in Brocklington, Sask., she attended North Star School, while growing up on the family farm. She married Gordon Baragar in 1944 and they lived in B.C. and Sask. before settling in Alberta. They both worked at Deerhome until retirement and a move to Alix, where they resided until Gordon's passing in 1997. Dorothy moved back to Red Deer and enjoyed many good years. Dorothy was an avid crafter, and her afghans and crochet creations were family favorites. She enjoyed a good game of cards, and socializing with family and friends. Her home-made bread was her specialty. The Sylvan Lake Seniors Lodge was her home for several years and the Symphony Seniors Living, Red Deer, and her final home - Villa Marie. As per Dorothy's request, there will be no service following cremation. Donations may be made in her memory to the Sylvan Lake Seniors Lodge, #100, 4620 47 Ave. Sylvan Lake, AB.
