It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Doug Doornenbal on Tuesday, October 21, 2009 at the age of 51 years. Doug is survived by his loving wife Sandra and two sons Steven (Danielle) and Mark, all of Spruce Grove; his mother Joyce, of Victoria BC; one brother Bruce, of Victoria BC; one sister Barb (Dave) Meers of Calgary Alberta; mother-in-law Marlene Stanchfield of Lacombe; Debbie (Steve) Soderberg of Clive, Alberta; Donald (Bonnie), Randy (Rhonda) Stanchfield of Clive, Alberta. Doug was predeceased by his father Huibert Doornenbal and father-in-law Ross Stanchfield. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 10:00 am at St Andrews United Church, 1A Fieldstone Drive, Spruce Grove Alberta, with Reverend Curtis Tufts officiating. Friends and relatives may pay their respects from 9-10 am. Cremation to follow. Memorial tributes may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Ave, Edmonton AB, T6G 1Z2.
