MCLEAN Douglas Neil Feb. 9, 1928 - April 22, 2007 Douglas Neil McLean, formally of Bentley, Alberta, passed away peacefully at Lacombe Care Centre on April 22, 2007. Doug was born on February 9, 1928 in Shaunavon, Sask., the eldest son of Neil and Jessie McLean. Doug married his beloved Charlotte on May 24, 1955. They settled in the Yukon where they raised four sons, Mark, Norman, David, and Douglas. It was in the Yukon that Doug developed his love of camping and fishing. Doug was blessed with the gift of conversation and always had time to listen to others. Whether at home or abroad, Doug encountered the most unique and interesting people. Doug leaves to mourn his passing his sons Mark (Sharon) of Surrey, BC; David of Edmonton, AB; Douglas (Valerie) of Lacombe, AB; four grandchildren, Carla (Jeremy) Reed of Surrey, BC; Clint of Mapleridge, BC; Anthony of Calgary, AB; Aaron of Calgary, AB; one great- grandchild Jorja Reed of Surrey BC; one brother Norman (Velma) of Salmo, BC; and numerous friends and relatives. Doug was predeceased by his beloved Charlotte in 2005, his son Norman in 1974, and his parents Neil and Jessie McLean. There will be no service at the request of Douglas.
