It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Ralph Hand announces his passing away suddenly on July 18th, 2021, in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 89.
Doug is lovingly remembered by his true love, wife Trudy and his children Crys, Cheryl (Shawn), Tony (Stephanie), Jason (Tiarra), Ron, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family. Doug is predeceased by his son Kelly and granddaughter Twyla.
He was born on May 17, 1932, in Burnaby, BC and moved to the family farm east of Lacombe in 1942. During his life he had various jobs, but trucking was his passion. He took over his father's trucking business and did this until he retired in 1998. In 2000, Doug and Trudy sold the farm and moved into town.

Funeral Service will be held at the Wilson's Funeral Chapel in Lacombe on Friday, July 23 at 2 pm.
