In Loving Memory (1947-2023) ~
With heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of Dr. Robert "Bob" Carter on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the age of 75 years.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-seven years, Rosanne, his daughters, Christine and Andrea, his granddaughters, Samantha (Andrew) Yaschuk, Zoey Augier, Anja Carter, his grandson, Rowan Solonas, his great granddaughter, Jade Augier, his sisters, Deb and Dale (Butch) Latam and his nephews, Michael and Brady Latam.
Bob was predeceased by his son, Bill, his brother, Andy, and his parents, Bill and Rhoda.
Born and raised in Red Deer, Central Alberta held a special place in Bob's heart. Returning to Red Deer with family in 1981 and joining the "new" Red Deer Hospital as a Plastic Surgeon was the culmination of years of medical training and experience. He happily practiced his specialty in Red Deer for over thirty years.
As a Speedskater in his youth, Bob enthusiastically coached the Red Deer Speed Skating Club, introducing local skaters to the love of the sport and the pursuit of personal accomplishment. Always an active athlete, he eagerly enjoyed Motocross, Windsurfing, Golf and Skiing, to name a few.
He loved to travel and made new friends wherever he went. Bob lived a full life and his diagnosis of Dementia called on our family's strength and resilience.
With sincere thanks to Aurora Household: Centennial Centre, Ponoka, and Household 3300, Michener Hill Extendicare, Red Deer for the care and compassion provided to Bob. Interment will take place in Crows Nest Pass. If desired, Memorial Donations in Bob's honor may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society at who provided much appreciated Caregiver support to our family.
