January 11, 2007

DROK, 1950 - 2007 Mr. Ian John Drok, beloved husband of Mrs. Lena Drok of Red Deer, passed away surrounded by his family, and left us to join his Lord, at the Red Deer Hospice on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the age of 56 years. Ian was born on August 22, 1950 at Holland. He was a very loving husband, father, son, brother and a trusted friend. In 1974, Ian started his own business, Alberta Yard Care, which he ran for the next thirty years. It began only as part-time and then it eventually grew into a full time business with Ian's commitment and diligence. Ian was a man of many interests which included photography, especially photos with trains running through the mountains. He loved machines, trains, computers, and it was important for Ian to remain current with the many technological changes. He also enjoyed the outdoors and taking camping trips with his family. Ian will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and many dear friends. Romans 8:38 – 39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ian leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife, Lena and his children, Brian Drok, Karen Drok and Jonathan Drok, all of Red Deer.
