Earl "Wayne" Ferris

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our brother Earl "Wayne" Ferris.

Wayne passed away June 20, 2024 at the Three Hills hospital. Wayne, the son of John and Cecilia Ferris, was born in Sydney, NS on March 12, 1957. He was predeceased by his mother, and brothers Brian and Michael.

Wayne is survived by his father, John Ferris, son Jeremy Corbett, daughter Michelle Ferris, grandchildren Daniel, Jupiter and Mason; honorary granddaughter Alyzha, brother Russ (Lorie), and sister Denise (Dale) Fuller; nephew and nieces; Ryan, Dustin (Diane), Dayla, Daniel, Landon (Elora), Valerie (Oliver); great nephews Waylon and Corbin; great nieces Emma and Aleah; Aunt Thelma (Bob Barrington); many close friends including JC, Barb, Doc and his relatives.

Wayne lived his life with a unique perspective, living on his own terms. He was a proud grandfather (Papa). He loved to be fishing and had a passion for creating fly fishing flies. He enjoyed playing his guitars, listening to blues music and his amazing record collection. Wayne was very proud of his garden and generously shared his produce with family and friends. His cooking specialty was spaghetti sauce and his salsa was a favorite as well.

Wayne shared many good times with his closest friends.

He will be missed.

A service will be held July 25, 2024 at the Alto Rest Cemetery, Red Deer, AB at 11:00 am with a gathering to follow.
