Edith FOWLIE

FOWLIE Edith Fowlie (nee Bain) of Red Deer passed away with family at her side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on September 18, 2006 at the age of 89 years. Edith was born February 22, 1917 in Medicine Hat, Alberta; the oldest of seven children. She married in 1937 to Ronald Fowlie Sr. they settled in Shoal Creek, Alberta and raised their four children; James, Ronald Jr. (Bud), Jeannie, and Edith (Tudy). Edith is survived by her daughters; Jeannie Rufiange and Tudy Fowlie, her daughter-in-laws, Rose (James) Fowlie, Fran (Bud) Fowlie, her brother George (Audrey) Bain, her sister Eileen Gannon and family, fifteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and her very good friend Jessie McNiven and family. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Agnes Bain, her husband of 46 years, Ronald Fowlie Sr., her brothers; William, Donald (Lorraine), Norval, Robert (Violet), her sons; James (Rose) and Bud (Fran), son-in-law, Guy (Jeannie) and grandson, James. She will be sadly missed and remembered by all her family and many friends. Funeral services for Edith Fowlie will be held on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 2 pm from the Rose Garden Chapel, 5326 - 48 Street, Barrhead, Alberta.
