It is with deep sadness that the family of Edith "Marie" Newton of Innisfail, announce her passing at Bethany CollegeSide in Red Deer on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the age of 90 years.
Marie was born and raised in the Innisfail area, where she took all her schooling as well as attended Olds College.
Marie married Dick Newton in August, 1952. Over the years, Marie was involved with the Innisfail Legion Ladies Auxiliary and for over 68 years was a member of the Eastern Star.
Marie will be lovingly remembered by her son Danny (Kathie) Newton; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family members.
She was predeceased by her husband Dick; daughter Dianne and brothers Gordon and Bob Parsonage.
In following with Marie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Central Alberta Humane Society, 4505 - 77 St., Red Deer AB T4P 2J1. Condolences to Marie's family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net.
