KENNEDY, Edna Marie
The children of Edna Marie Kennedy sadly announce the passing of our Mother, Edna Marie Kennedy, December 2, 2016 in Victoria, BC. Mom was born in the small town of Beaver Mines Alberta on February 13, 1929 and grew up in Lethbridge Alberta, where she met and married her husband Bill. Together they had seven children; Ted, Laurel (Bert), Rod (Jan), Dianne, Bill (Cynthia), Patrick (Edda); 13 beautiful grandchildren, Candice, Janis, Carole, Kathleen, Steven, Christina, Clifford, Christina, Jessica, Alannah, Sofia, Isabella and Luca, and eight great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her infant daughter, Barbara and her loving husband Bill.
Mom is also survived by her youngest sister Bernice, sisters in law, Barbara and Zelda, close family friend Joe, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom was a strong, pragmatic loving woman and a loyal wife. Her Faith carried her through many a storm. Working together, both our parents were instrumental in creating, and maintaining a large, strong, close-knit and ever growing family. They provided us the essentials to survive and flourish in life; love, grace, compassion, strength of character and always, a sense of humour. The passing of our Mother, closes a chapter in the Kennedy family story, but leaves so much, yet to be written. We will miss you Mom, give Dad and Barbara a big kiss and hug from us all.
A funeral mass and Celebration of Life will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Victoria,
Friday December 9, 2016 at 12PM. Private Family Internment.
