RENSCHLER Edward With much sadness we announce Ed's passing away at the age of 91, on Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Ed was born on February 2, 1918 at Castor, Alberta. His early years including schooling and farm work were spent in the Castor district. He served in the Canadian Army for three years. In 1950 he married Rita Ries at which time he began his life work as a grain buyer. Over the years he bought grain at Garden Plains, Delacour, Kathyrn, and Bowden. After almost thirty years as a grain buyer he and Rita retired in Bowden. Ed was a member of the Bowden Friendship Centre and the Franciscan Fraternity of Red Deer and then of Olds. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Rita of fifty nine years, his son Arnold, his daughter Denise and her husband David, his sisters Tillie, Hilda, Helen, Lillie, Mabel, Mae (Jack) and Bess (Francis), one brother Leslie (Esther) and sisters in laws Betty Ann and Helen. He was predeceased by his parents Rose and George, his son Norman, his brothers Bill, Harold and Percy and his sister Velma. A Prayer Service for Ed will be held on Wednesday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Innisfail. (4304 49th Ave). A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Innisfail. (4304 49th Ave). Interment will follow at the Innisfail Cemetery.
