TESSIER Edward Charles Tessier of Innisfail passed away on February 25, 2008 at the age of 63 years. Ed moved to Innisfail from Ontario in 1978. He married in 1979 and despite the dissolution of his marriage, reached out as father to the three children. He worked for many years at Johns Manville followed by a career that led him to work with Corrections Canada. He devoted himself by helping others. He strongly promoted, "We need to be a part of the solution rather than being part of the problem." One of Ed’s greatest achievements was to become an Elder, for which he was highly respected. Ed leaves behind his loving wife Deborah; mother Florence Louise; sisters Lorraine and Jeannette; brother Graham and several nieces and nephews; children Erwin, Tammy (Dale), Marshall (Priscilla) and Paul (Eve) and step son Richard and 9 grandchildren. Ed is also survived by his mother in law Betty, father in law Roy and sister in law Cherry. He was predeceased by his father Dan and brother Henry. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 1:00pm from Metcalf Funeral Chapel, Innisfail. Condolences to the family may be forwarded from www.mem.com.
