KELLY, ELAINE Hazel Elaine Kelly (Grover) passed away on October 5, 2004. She was born on April 14, 1944 in Stettler, Alberta. She grew up on the family farm at Byemoor and went to school there until Grade 11. Elaine followed that with secretarial school in Hanna. She was very active in playing ball and curling. She got a job in Red Deer at Parson's Clinic so she moved to Red Deer in 1963. Through friends she met Hugh Kelly and they were married on September 3, 1965. They moved to an acreage at Blackfalds and they lived there until 1987 when they moved to Lacombe where they resided until her death. She had three girls which she devoted her life to, Rhonda (Darcy) Boyce, Kathie (Ken) Chessor, Colleen Kelly (Cory Dumas). Her life became complete with the arrival of her grandkids, Rick and Morganne, Tyren, Kale and Travis, Joey and Nicky. Her brothers, Lloyd (Lil) Norm, Glen (Joan), Merle (Shirley), Ron (Deb); as well as a special cousin Grace (Karl) Krautt were a very large part of her life along with all of her in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her mom and dad; a special aunt, Hazel; brother, Norm; and grandson, Darius Allen. A celebration of Elaine's life will be held at the Ponoka Legion Branch #66 on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. If friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Ponoka Legion Branch #66, 3911 Highway 2A, Ponoka AB T4J 1J8.
