July 19, 1926 - March 31, 2019
It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Elizabeth Kennedy on March 31st, 2019 at the age of 92. She was born Elizabeth Tuff on July 19, 1926 to James and Cecilia Tuff in Templeman, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland.
She is predeceased by her parents, sisters (Ethel, Esme, and Lucy), brother (James), loving husband (Allan), daughter (Marie), stepdaughter (Sylvia), second husband (Jack), her first husband and father of her children (Martin), and daughter in law (Mary). Betty will be lovingly remembered by daughter Anne (Gordon), sons Robert and Dennis, step daughters (Patricia, Frances (Steven), and Evelyn), grandchildren Ronald (Jenna), Shari-Lynn (Tom), Gillian (Colin), Kimberly (Aaron), and Robert. She leaves behind 10 great grandchildren and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather at Eventide Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 9th; viewing is at 1:00 pm and a service will begin at 2:00 pm, internment and luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Lending Cupboard.
