Ellen Ivy Harding of Red Deer passed away peacefully at Royal Oak in Lacombe on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the age of 94 years. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 15, 1920. She lived in Winnipeg, met her husband Les, and married on February 12, 1944. They moved to Alberta in 1944 where they started their family of four children; Donna (Harvey) Pidhirney, Betty (Bob) Christianson, Garry (Bernice) Harding, and Gale Lee. She was predeceased by her husband Les, her parents, and her brothers and sister. She is survived by her four children, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Christian Assembly 6315 Horn Street, Red Deer, AB. No flowers by request. Donations in memory of Ellen may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta # 202 - 5913 - 50th Avenue, Red Deer, AB. T4N 4C4, or a charity of the donor's choice.
