HOLMEN Elsie May April 11, 1920 - Jan. 26, 2009 On January 26, 2009, Mrs. Elsie Holmen of Sylvan Lake passed away at the age of 88 years. Elsie is lovingly remembered by her three daughters Barbara (Keith) Owen of Camrose; Linda Keenan of Edmonton, and Gail (Bob) Allan of Bentley; and son-in-law Wayne Bernes of Vermilion; eight grandchildren Michele Stafford, Kent Bernes, Rob and Michael Keenan, Darcy and Kory Owen, Kristi and Brett Allan; thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; her sister Dorothy Johnson of Sylvan Lake, brother Harvey (Margaret) Dickau of Vancouver; sisters-in-law Joan Dickau, Norma Dickau, and Eileen Holmen; brothers-in-law Jim Walker and Dave Davies. Predeceased by her husband Andrew (1992), daughters Elaine (1956) and Joyce Bernes (1995), grandson Kelsey Allan (1978), son-in-law Robert Keenan (1997). A celebration of Elsie's life will be held from the Bentley Community Church on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:00 P.M.
