Elsie SIM

SIM Elsie Pearl Sim passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years old on Friday, March 4, 2006 at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre. Elsie was born at Bowden, Alberta and moved to Tees, Alberta with her parents at an early age where she lived most of her life. In 1940 she married Don Sim and they then purchased the family farm in 1944 where their family was raised until they sold it in 1975. Don and Elsie built a house in Tees and resided there until Don passed away in 1995. Elsie moved to Lacombe the following year where she resided until her passing. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Don (Sonja) of Red Deer, Ron (Sharon) of Sylvan Lake, Diane (Larry) of Alix, Gord (Cathy) of Tees, son-in-law Pete Vogel of Theodore, SK, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren on the way, sisters-in-law, Anne Bristow of Calgary, Irene and Marion Sim, both of Red Deer. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Don, daughter Judy, grandsons Brent, Don and Gary, brother Bob, brothers-in-law, Alec and Keith. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, Alberta. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
