Elva SIM

SIM Elva was born at Tees, Alberta on June 10, 1922 to Margaret and William Ferguson. She spent her growing up years in the Nebraska area attending Nebraska school. She married Lawrence Sim on August 9, 1940. Elva spent all her life in the Nebraska area until she moved to Lacombe in 2002. She was always very active in the Nebraska Homemakers Club and the Tees 50+ Club. She enjoyed her bowling and plying BINGO. "Granny", which a lot knew her by, loved baking and always had cinnamon buns for everyone. You could always see a twinkle in her eye whenever her grandchildren and great grandchildren were around her. Elva will be lovingly remembered by her family, Colleen and Jim, Lorraine, Joan and Roger, Jean and Ernest; 2 sisters, Lois (Mel) Boe of Abbotsford, B.C., Phyllis Fraser of Langley, B.C.; a sister-in-law, Rhoda (Vern) Ferguson; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Stanley; a sister, Louise; 2 brothers-in-law, Elmer and Jack; her loving husband, Lawrence; an infant daughter, June; a granddaughter Charlene; a son, Harvey; and a son-in-law, David. Funeral services will be held from the Tees Community Hall, Tees, Alberta on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer.
