Elwood Joseph Fyten of Bowden AB, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the age of 86 years. Elwood was very active in the local community, the Catholic church and as a member of the Knights of Columbus; always wanting to be busy doing something. He was known to his family as a "serial entrepreneur". Elwood loved his family and always enjoyed family gatherings, hunting, camping, fishing and anytime it included his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Elsie; sons Blair (Sarah), Rod (Lisa); daughter Alanna; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also to cherish Elwood's memory are his brothers Ed (Vera), Lou, Marvin (Ruth), Adrian (Barb); sister Leona (Ken); sister-in-law Faye; daughter-in-law Lori as well as numerous extended family members and friends. Elwood was predeceased by his son Ryan and brother Robert. Funeral Mass for the late Elwood Fyten will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 4304 - 49 Ave, Innisfail, AB on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Knights of Columbus (Innisfail Branch), 4304 - 49 Ave, Innisfail, AB T4G 1M6.
