ERICKSON Emily Margaret Erickson of Osoyoos, BC went to be with her Saviour on June 13th, 2009 at the age of 94. She is lovingly remembered and survived by her son, Bernie Erickson of Osoyoos, B.C. her two daughters: Lorraine (Art) Hort of Red Deer, Alberta and Phyllis (Metro) Bereza of Kitimat, BC, six grandchildren: Dale, Beverley "Dawn" (Richard), Barry (Carol), Curtis (Kristal), Ernest (Tammy), and Lavina, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and her two sisters: Ethel Mace and Laura Norene. Emily was sadly predeceased by her husband, Erik in 1985. Emily was born at Leslieville, Alberta, November 19, 1914. She was married to Erik Ingvar Erickson for 50 years. They farmed in the Eckville District until 1972, retiring to Osoyoos where they enjoyed many new friends. Emily enjoyed many hobbies including Scrabble, Punch, Bunka and Brazilian Embroidery, Scratch Art and Puzzles. Her last four years she enjoyed life in Sagebrush Lodge and more recently Mariposa Gardens. Thank you to the staff of Sagebrush Lodge, Dr. Calder, and Mariposa staff for their care of her and to the friends who visited her. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 18th, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the Osoyoos Baptist Church, 6210 97 Highway, Osoyoos, BC, with Reverend Ron Holder and Reverend Phil Johnson officiating.
