ENG 1929- 2008 Mrs. Kin Wan Eng of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at her home, on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at the age of 78 years. Kin Wan was born on September 12, 1929 at Canton, China. She was a very humble, generous, hard working person who loved helping others expecting nothing in return. Kin Wan and husband founded the Windsor Café in 1960, where they worked very hard until retirement in 1987. Kin Wan had many joys in life, playing cards at the Casino, playing Mah Jong with her friends, traveling through Europe and China after retiring and attending social gatherings with her friends. Kin Wan's family was her great joy and love being able to take trips with her children and grandchildren, spending as much time with them as she possible could. Kin Wan also enjoyed her special visits with Fezz and Chief (Philip's English Bulldogs). She was deeply respected by all and will be missed by those who knew her. Kin Wan is survived by two daughters, Jane (Fraser) Cuthbertson of Vancouver, Helen (Lester) Long of Calgary, three sons, Philip Eng, John (Rose) Eng both of Red Deer, Steve Eng of Calgary and five grandchildren, Meghan, Lucas, Brandon, Bailey and Cameron. She was predeceased by her husband, Wer Thung Eng in 1993. A Funeral Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Alto-Reste Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Wer Thung Eng.
