LAURENCE Eric Bruce 1939 - 2009 Mr. Eric Laurence of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 at the age of 69. Eric was born in Toronto, Ontario on Sunday, September 24th, 1939 and later moved to Red Deer in 2007 to enjoy his retirement. He will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Kelly, of 36 years; two sons, David (Stefanie) Laurence and Ronald (Lillian) Laurence, both of Toronto, Ontario; three daughters, Suzanne (Lee) Birn of Red Deer, AB, Joanne (Andrew) Peacock of Austin, TX and Erica Laurence of Red Deer, AB, as well as nine grandchildren. Eric also leaves to mourn his sister-in-law, brother-in-law and several nieces, nephews and family in Queensland, Australia. He was predeceased by his son Michael. Eric spent a total of 10 years in Australia where he loved his boat and numerous fishing excursions. His passion for music led him to spend countless hours listening to his favourite tunes. Family was the light of Eric's life; he loved taking his Children and Grandchildren to Disneyland and Disney World, proving he was always a kid at heart! A Memorial Service for the late Eric Laurence will be held on Friday, April 17th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 67 Street, Red Deer, Ph.403.347.3319).
