MAYER Eric It is with deep sadness that the loving family of Eric Mayer announce his passing on Saturday, July 25th, 2009 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 84 years. Eric is survived by his only son Randy (Darlene) Mayer, two granddaughters: Alissa and Lindsy as well as one great granddaughter, Maddison all of Red Deer, AB; four sisters: Ursula Johnson of Escondido, California, Edith Thurston of Toronto, ON, Ruth (Andrew) Peterson and Leni (Ron) George both of Calgary, AB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Eric was predeceased by his loving wife, Heidi in 2002 and by his only brother Willie. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30th, 2009 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. from Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB. The public is invited to pay their respects one hour prior to the Funeral Service. A Funeral Service for the late Eric Mayer will be held Friday, July 31st, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. from Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 18 Selkirk Blvd., Red Deer, AB. Interment will follow in Alto-Rest Cemetery. Memorial tributes in memory of Eric may be made to the donor’s choice.
