Eric was born on the family farm 2 1/2 miles south of Sylvan Lake. Eric and his brothers ran a successful trucking business. Eric worked at Imperial Lumber, in seismic and road construction. He had his own business of feedlot cleaning for 25 years before retiring.
Eric is survived by his loving wife, Hazel; his brother Alex (Joyce), Cynthia Dahms (Michael); his daughter; grand-daughter, Jessica Aimer (Greg); grandson, Danny; great grandson, Blake; sister-in-law, Verna Hallgren; brothers-in-law, Alan and Colin Brockelsby; as well as numerous nephews and nieces and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Marie; his sisters, Lillian, Isabel, Bessie and Helen; and by his brothers, John, Gordon, Victor and Norman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm at The Royal Canadian Legion, 2810 Bremner Ave. Red Deer.
In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
