Evelyn Bolze passed away at Lacombe, Alberta at the age of 78 years. She leaves behind her four children, Dave (Aaron), Trevor (Linda), Shannon, and Sharlene (Carl); six grandchildren she treasured, Courtney (Jeremie), Caitlyn, Blake, Owen, Shayla, and Emilia; extended family and many dear friends.
Evelyn was predeceased by her mother and father; loving husband, Herman; and sister, Earlene.
Evelyn grew up on a farm in Leslieville with her parents and two sisters. She loved her horses and being creative. As a young woman, she set out on her own, working for the Bank of Montreal. She had fun years with friends she kept for a lifetime.
Evelyn met her husband, Herman, and they began their married life in Rocky Mountain House. This is where they started their family. Her best years were here, being an at home mom, raising her kids. We have many wonderful memories of camping along the David Thompson Highway and through B.C. every summer.
She was helpful as a volunteer for many school functions for her kids.
As the kids got older, Evelyn decided to get a job outside the home and began a long career with Walmart. She always had a story about people there and was loved by her coworkers. Evelyn loved to travel and took many trips all over the world - her favourite being Europe - as well as many getaways with her two sisters.
In the past few years, Evelyn lived with dementia which was hard on everyone in her life.
A private graveside service will be held with a small gathering of family afterwards. If desired, memorial donations in honour of Evelyn may be directed to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta or to a charity of choice.
