MACDONALD

Fay Madeleine

Oct. 27, 1927 - Feb. 3, 2014

Fay passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own family home on Monday, February 3, 2014. She was born in McLeod, AB to Olga and Guy Clarke. Upon hearing of Hudson's Bay land being given away in the Peace River Country, the little family hitched their wagon and set out on their pilgrimage to the North. The Peace River Country was where Fay grew up and spent her formative years learning many of life's challenging lessons, but nevertheless gleaning an abundance of her favorite memories. Fay and her husband Samuel MacDonald moved with their family to Red Deer in 1973. Fay was passionate about curling. She was a member of the Red Deer ladies Curling Club for over 25 years. She skipped her own rink well into her 80's. She was also a proud member of the Norwegian Hofthaus Society. Very often when a little extra intestinal fortitude was required, Fay would invoke her "Viking heritage" to give her strength. Memories do have a way of bringing back our yesterdays. We have loved, do love and always will love our Mom, who taught us how to love. Join us in celebration of Fay's life at Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting
