RILEY, Fern Thorton Mr. Fern Thorton (Bud) Riley formerly of Calgary, Alberta and Montreal, Quebec, passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Long Term Care Centre on Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the age of 85 years. Bud was born on November 10, 1918 at Montreal, Quebec. He worked in the Downstream Oil and Gas Marketing Distribution as a Manager with Petro Canada (Petro Fina). Bud was a loving father and grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He also enjoyed reading and loved golf. Bud will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered in the hearts of his family and dear friends. Bud leaves to mourn his loss, his loving sons, Rick (Rachelle) Riley of Kelowna, British Columbia and Robert (Norma Jean) Riley of Red Deer, his granddaughters, Abbie, Jennifer and Laura, his grandson, Andrew and his great grandson, Liam. Bud was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gwenyth in 2002 and his parents, Fern and Belle Riley. A Private Celebration of Bud's Life was held at the Living Stones Church, Red Deer, Alberta. Cremation was entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
