FERRIER Mr. John Chalmers 1923 - 2009 Mr. John Ferrier of Stettler, passed away in Stettler, Alberta on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the age of 86 years. John was born on April 23, 1923 in Big Valley (Hackett Area) to John and Agnes Ferrier who farmed in that area. He attended the Dunbarney School and had always loved farming and any animal that wandered his way John served in World War II and upon returning home always enjoyed a good game of baseball, ice hockey and of course playing cards, especially crib. He will be missed by all who knew him. John leaves to mourn his passing his brother Bill Ferrier of Phoenix, Arizona and his sister Nancy Ferrier of Stettler. He was predeceased by his parents John and Agnes Ferrier. A private graveside service was held on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM. at the Botha Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Susan Bowyer officiating. A reception and fellowship followed at the Botha United Church with the Botha U.C.W. graciously catering. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of John, memorial contributions may be made to the Botha Woodland Cemetery in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services who were entrusted with the arrangements P.O.
