FLATER, Mr. Arthur Edward Flater, beloved husband of Mrs. Peggy Flater of Red Deer, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the age of 75 years. Art was born on September 11, 1930 at Hardisty, Alberta and spent his childhood years in Lougheed, Alberta. Art was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a trusted friend. He was a dedicated employee and worked for Union Tractor in Red Deer, Edmonton and Calgary, spending forty-two years with the company. In 1993, Art retired to Fairmont, British Columbia. Art will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and dear friends. Art leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife of fifty-six years, Peggy, his three children, Wayne, Carol and Perry (Lorrie), five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Art will also be sadly missed by his brother, Ray, as well as numerous other extended family members and friends. Art was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Edith Flater of Lacombe and a sister, Verna. A Public Celebration of Art's Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
