RODGIRS (SARGEANT) Florence Irene (Inscho) Florence Irene Rodgirs of Breton, Alberta passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Grey Nun’s Hospital in Edmonton on April 8, 2009. Florence was born in Glendon, Alberta on December 24, 1923 youngest daughter of Thomas and Victoria Inscho. One of three children, she spent her childhood in the Goodridge area and, at sixteen years of age, Florence met the Truth and made a choice that would guide the rest of her life. On December 11, 1943 Florence married Parker Sargeant and soon afterwards moved to the Sargeant family farm in the Chigwell area where they raised two sons and three daughters. Florence was a loving mother and a hard-working and generous host; always welcoming friends and family into her home. She loved to share a joke and a laugh, to play games and do puzzles and was always there to help anyone in need. Florence and Parker spent 57 years together until Parker’s passing in 2000. On July 30, 2003 Florence married Lance Rodgirs and they moved to Breton Alberta. Florence enjoyed these years and worked beside Lance to transform their acreage into a beautiful parkland. Florence is predeceased by her husband, Parker, and daughter, Eda May; brother, Henry Inscho and sister, Elsie Sharp; as well as parents Thomas and Victoria Inscho. Left to mourn are her husband, Lance Rodgirs of Warburg; sons: Lyle (Marilyn) Sargeant of Red Deer and Nellis (Veronica) Sargeant of Lacombe; daughters: Lois (Earl) Loyek of Battleford, SK and Sylvia Sargeant of Calgary and special friend Linda Sargeant of Breton.
