SIEBENGA Fokie (Van Dyke) Mar. 21, 1920 - Mar. 31, 2007 Fokie (Van Dyke) Siebenga peacefully went home to her Lord on March 31, 2007. She was born in Drachten, Friesland and immigrated to Canada with her father and 3 sisters, shortly after the death of her mother. She arrived in Lacombe and lived in the area for the rest of her life. She attended Prairie Bible Institute after high school. She married Harry Siebenga on November 6, 1941 and spent most of their married life on the old "Peterson" place, where she raised 7 boys and 2 girls. Fokie was active in all activities associated with her church, especially the Ladies Aide Society and served as president of the Hannah Society. Her hobbies were gardening, sewing, knitting and quilting. She made numerous pairs of socks, especially for the homeless, patched numerous pairs of pants and many of her family have quilts and spreads that she has made. Predeceased by her husband Harry, one daughter, Angeline and two grandsons, Christopher and Aaron, she will be missed by her sister, Rita of Dawson Creek, her seven sons and one daughter, 33 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Woody Nook Christian Reformed Church on Thursday April 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Coffee and lunch will be served by the Gems following the interment.
