HARRISON, Frances Elaine
Born September 29, 1932, and passed away at Red Deer Regional Hospital December 14, 2017 at the age of 85 years.
After graduating from school in Lousana, Fran attended Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing and proudly graduated in 1954 as an RN. She worked in Elnora Hospital, and her life-long passion of caring for others progressed into helping pioneer rural homecare. The Elnora, Lousana, and Delburne, areas benefited from her love of nursing.
Fran married Dave Harrison in 1954, and they built a life together farming and raising their family. Some of Fran's many enjoyments included dancing, sewing, and cooking. Dave and Fran enjoyed many years of dancing, forming great friendships. Entertaining and loving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren provided Fran with immense joy. Fran is lovingly remembered by husband Dave of 63 years and children; Glen (Tanya, Carla, Teresa, and families), Susan and Jim Wilson (Dennis, Chris, Kyle, and families), Bruce and Jayne (Jesse, Brenna, and Davis), Laura and Dale Osguthorpe (Derek and Brittany).
Survived by her sisters, Pat (Jim), Carol, and Linda (Larry), and families. Nursing classmates of graduating class 1954, who Fran considered some of her best friends. Her parents, Sam and Laura Clayton, predeceased Fran. Fran had a strong Christian Faith and is now safe from suffering, in the arms of the Lord.
