ROBERTSON Frances Adella Robertson (nee Seagrave) was born June 20, 1927 and passed away peacefully on April 22, 2007 in the presence of her loving family. Frances, lovingly referred to as Fran by her friends, lived her entire life in Ponoka, which allowed her to never be very far away from her children and grandchildren, her most precious treasures. This community also provided Fran with employment for twenty-seven years, where she served as supervisor in the Laundry /Linen Department at Alberta Hospital Ponoka a role she fulfilled with accomplishment and the loyalty of her co- workers. Ponoka was also the ideal setting for Fran to live our her love of nature, allowing her to enjoy her family amidst the beautiful sounds of the birds and the spectacular color of local flowers. Fran will be sorely missed and is fondly remembered by her two daughters, Lana Wierzba and Lynn Gray (Glen Mula); grandchildren, Carly and Zach Gray; sisters, Jeannette (Karl) Johnson and Isabell Hughes; brother, Harvey (Geneva); as well as numerous other dear relatives and special friends. She was predeceased by her loving son, Larry, parents, Stanley and Signa, sister, Florence and sister Marjorie Koger, brothers, Clarence and Irving, step-mother, Jacoba; as well as many other fondly remembered relatives and friends. Fran will be remembered as having arms that reached out and made everyone a friend, a heart that patiently listened and encouraged, lips that spoke wisdom from experience and an unmistakable laugh that gave voice to her pure soul and assured us all that life would somehow work out just fine. The family extends grateful thanks to Dr. C. Swartz, Dr. Sarbit, Dr. Jim, and the attending staff of Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre, and Unit 31 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for the outstanding care our Mom received. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home (5115 - 50 Ave.) In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Lung Association or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation for Alberta Breast Cancer Research Initiative.
