October 28, 1928 - September 20, 2021
Frank came into this world on October 18, 1928, the 3rd son of Katherine and Gene Kendall. He lived on the ranch at Kew until 1973. He married Anita in 1968 and Dinah and Meagan soon joined the family. They moved to the farm near Gull Lake in 1973. Frank lived at the farm until May 2021 when his health started to fail.
Frank was a lifelong rancher and farmer, raising cattle and sheep while at Kew, then moving to a mixed grain and cattle operation at Gull Lake. He was active with the Lincoln Hall board for several decades and he was a 4-H leader for several years.
When grandchildren joined the fun Frank and Anita spent many hours with the boys. Frank retired in 1996, which allowed he and Anita to spend more time travelling and camping. Attending cowboy poetry festivals became a popular summer activity for them. They made a lot of friends and enjoyed some fun times.
Frank is survived by his daughters Dinah (Jon Watchuk) and Meagan (Kevin Sejdl), 3 grandsons - Dustin, Kyle and Hudson; and his sister Marie (Ron Goodwin). His numerous nieces and nephews were his first family and they all miss Uncle Frank dearly.
Weather Permitting - A Celebration of Frank's Life will be held on Sunday, October 03, 2021 at 2 pm outside of Lincoln Hall on the Ball Diamond.
Frank was a great believer in community. Donations in Frank's Memory can be donated to the Lincoln Hall Society: 41319 Hwy 792, Alberta T4L 2N3.
Special thanks to the staff at Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre for the care they provided Dad. He had the staff charmed with his gentle humour and sweet nature.
