Frank Edward
Frank Duckworth passed away on July 15, 2014 at the Ponoka Centennial Center. Frank leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years Veronica; son Michael; daughter Phyillis (Gary); brothers: Harold and Norman. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Krystle (Nick), Shannon (Terence); and his 6 great grandchildren. Frank was predeceased by his father Gerald; step mother Muriel; brothers: Jack and Jerry. Frank's life had brought him many adventures while serving 27 years for the Canadian Armed Forces. Frank and his family lived in various locations in Canada, Egypt, and Germany. Once Frank left the Army he settled in Red Deer, Alberta and worked as a prison guard for the Bowden Institution where he remained until his retirement. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Aurora House at Ponoka Centennial Center. 46th Street, Ponoka, AB T4J 1R8.
