Freda BALL

BALL Freda Anna (Blackmore) Freda was born on June 3, 1911 in Orchard, Antelope County, Nebraska, USA and passed away peacefully on May 19, 2009 in Lacombe, AB. Grandma married John Ball on her birthday in 1931. To this union they welcomed 3 children; Luella, Delmer & Richard. As well as running a mixed farm in the Lakeside Canyon area, Freda was very active in the community. She was a lifetime member of the Lakeside Social Workers, as well as a lifetime member of the Lacombe Handicraft & Lapidary Guild. Freda spent many a summer as a horticultural judge, travelling to different fairs across Alberta. Freda was predeceased by her husband John, her sons Richard & Delmer, her daughter-in-law Gerry and son-in-law Glen. Freda was also predeceased by her 3 brothers; Dale, Gordon & Malcolm Blackmore, sister-in-law Gwen, twin grandsons and a granddaughter Cathy McEachern. Grandma is survived by her daughter Luella Schultz, grandchildren Garnet (Joann) Schultz, Terry (Finn) Jensen, Virginia & Matthew, Derald McEachern, Michael & Brycen, Brad (Debbie) Schultz, Nicole & Brandon, Darla, Danita, Danna & Debbie Ball. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Georgia Blackmore & Lois Blackmore, as well as numerous other relatives. Funeral Services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe on Monday, May 25, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
