GALAY

May 24, 2007

GALAY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bridget Dawn Galay. She passed away suddenly and peacefully on Monday, May 21, 2007 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital with her family by her side, she has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior. Bridget will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Diana and Hank McArthur of Trochu, her twin sister, Crystal Galay of Red Deer, special friend and caregiver, Precy DeLeon, her father, Louis Galay of Dauphin, Manitoba, step grandmother, Anne McArthur of Trochu as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and all of the many friends and acquaintances that touched Bridget’s life. She was predeceased by her grandparents. "B" continuously amazed everyone around her with her strength and spirit for life as she struggled courageously with Cerebral Palsy. Bridget was a unique young lady with a warm heart and a smile for everyone. She had a pleasant personality hidden within her, only to be discovered and shared with those who spent quality time with her. She was good natured and had a real sense of humour about her, an outgoing and happy-go-lucky gal. She was a social butterfly, enjoying time spent with family and friends. "B" enjoyed most of all, her time and cuddles with her "favourite" sister, Crystal. She developed close bonds with her friend, Randilee, and a special love for adopted grandma, Filomena. Those wishing to pay their respects to Bridget can do so at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Friday, May 25, 2007 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow at the Alto-Reste Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bridget Galay can do so to the Cerebral Palsy Association (3688 - 48 Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta, T3J 5C8).
