January 17, 1946 - November 22, 2018
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Gale McCoy on November 22, 2018 at the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 72 years.

Mom is survived by Rob, her loving husband of 54 years, three devoted children Mike (Terri), Lisa (Greg) and Tammy (Scott), seven amazing grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Devra, Rylee, Jena, Hunter and Ronan and her brother Gabriel (Judi), sister-in-law Bobbi and nieces and nephews. Gale leaves behind a large and loving group of friends.

Mom grew up in Alberta and was fond of the mountains and the West Coast. She also loved being active at square dancing, camping, quading, black powder shooting and playing her Bass whenever she could. Mom was active in and held several positions on the boards of the Alberta Black Powder Association, Western Canadian Black Power Association, Waskasoo Bluegrass Society and was the Bass Player for the Caroline Creek Bluegrass Band. She was President for the Red Deer Fish and Game and held many of the executive positions over 35 years and had the honour to be the only woman to hold a Life Membership. Mom loved to knit and crochet; often donating her blankets to the Mustard Seed. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother, and though we are heartbroken we are comforted knowing she is at peace. Her compassionate heart will live on in the memories of all those she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 8th from 12:00 to 4:00 pm at the Red Deer Curling Arena. The family requests donation to the Central Alberta Cancer Center in lieu of Flowers:
