GARRETT DENZIL FRANK ALFRED GARRETT, B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed. (Madras), M.A. (Alberta), D.Litt. (Zagreb), beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on the 9th of May 2006 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, aged 76. He was a lifelong educator, having worked as a teacher in many countries around the world and latterly as Professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Red Deer College. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Cynthia Garrett of Westlock; his sons Glenn of London, UK and Bruce of Edmonton; his daughter Rachael Hirsch of Rocky Mountain House, her husband Blair and four sons; and other family members in eastern Canada, India and Australia. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday the 16th of May 2006 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Westlock.
