It is with great sadness the family of Garth Daniel Wood announce his passing on Wednesday June 9th, 2021 at the age of 66 years. Garth was born on January 5th, 1955 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Daniel Hempy and Joyce Grace Wood.
Garth was always a happy go lucky guy and moved to Calgary in 1974 when he met the love of his life Corinne Louise Regnier and her 4-year-old son Derek. They got married in September 1975 and enjoyed 46 years of marriage with lots of great memories including traveling, camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Their adventures took them all over the world including, USA, Scotland, Hawaii, Taiwan, Thailand, Mexico, Jamaica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Panama Canal, Alaska, and they also lived in Nova Scotia for 1 year in 1977.
From there they moved to Red Deer, Alberta before settling in Sylvan Lake, Alberta in 1979 where he spent the rest of his days. Garth worked for the city of Red Deer for 30+ years before retiring in 2010.
His favorite past time was spending time with friends and family and working on antique vehicles.
He is survived by his wife Corinne, his sons Derek (Cher), Daniel (Andrea), Dominic (his right hand man) and three grandchildren Payton, Bauer and Sebastian, his sister Bonnie (Al) and brothers Larry (Catherine), Lyle (Erin), and Dale (Cheryl).
Predeceased by his Father Daniel, Mother Joyce, and brother Wayne.
