In Loving Memory ~
Gary Malcolm Stuart was born in Red Deer October 10th, 1945, and passed away peacefully with family by his side April 6th, 2023 at the Red Deer Hospice.
He was raised on the Joffre family farm, attended grade school at Satinwood, finishing high school in Red Deer at Lindsey Thurber. He achieved his Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology at the University of Alberta. Then pursued a career in Finance as a successful Stockbroker in Edmonton and Swift Current, Sask.
Gary’s love for the farm was always in his dreams which lead to Gary, Maxine and family beginning their farming career near Spruce View, AB and later farming for 19 years at Falun, AB. After retirement they returned to Red Deer spending 21 years on their acreage until his passing.
Gary spoke of many fond memories growing up on the family farm, playing hockey, baseball and attending Sock Hops. Gary was an avid reader, loved swimming, biking, curling and enjoyed playing cards and camping with many friends and relatives. They enjoyed their winters as Snowbirds.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Maxine, two children, Teresa (David) Fuerbringer and son Gerald (Jody) Stuart. He will also be deeply missed by his 3 grandchildren, Nathan and Lucas Fuerbringer and Spencer Stuart.
