ALBERS George Vernon Albers was born on May 6, 1939 at Mirror, Alberta and passed away on January 7, 2008 at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 68 years. George is survived by his loving wife Marie; sons Marvin (Suzy) Albers, Mark (Tammy) Albers, Lonnie (Rhonda) Albers, Del (Theresa) Albers and Aaron (Marcia) Albers; his daughters Wanda (Darrel) Salewski, Jackie (Donald) Healing, Dawn (Chris) Aikenhead and Elise (Dwayne) Moore; 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his brother Wally (Helen) Albers; sisters Shirley Richter, Darlene Watts and Cindy (Rob) Engelen; and numerous nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his mother Ruth Albers and his father Walter Albers. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mirror Community Hall with the Interment Service following at the Mirror Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta.
