1964 - 2014

Mr. George David Bourne of Red Deer, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the age of 50 years. George was a graduate of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology where he studied Biology Sciences, specializing in Environmental Protection. George was a National Construction Safety Officer. In addition, George was a Commercial Chef where he graduated from the Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. George was a man of great depth; a deep thinker and philosopher of life and the universe. He enjoyed favorite pastimes such as playing board games like D & D and Lord of the Rings and online games such as poker. George will be lovingly remembered by his brother, sisters, Laurie and Bernice, Mary and Ida. He will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Christine, Jason, Michael, Connor, Amanda, Christopher and Jeremy; his great nieces and nephew, Colton, Ashton, Denaisha and Jessica, as well as his extended family and friends from the Windsor Hotel and Lower Fairview families including the Grahns, Youngs, Zachs, Leterneaus, Perrins, Jeromes, Douglas', Jarvises, Wolks, Greens, Bonhams, Tronnes and many others. George was predeceased by his parents, David and Bertha Bourne and a sister, Roslie. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of George's Life will be held at The Harvest Centre, Marquis Room, Westerner Park, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent or viewed at
