COBB, George George Cobb of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at the age of 82 years. George will be lovingly remembered by one son, Gerald Cobb of St. Albert, one step-son, Roderick Danhauer of Strathmore, one daughter, Loisann Green of Surrey, British Columbia, one brother, Walter Cobb of Winnipeg, one sister, Ette Troutin of Niagara, two grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren. George was predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Charlotte. George retired after twenty-five years with the A.L.C.B., having worked in Red Deer, Hinton, Wainwright, and Edmonton. During retirement he enjoyed twenty-one winters as a snowbird in Mesa, Arizona. George spent many enjoyable hours curling in the winter and golfing in the summer. George was taught the sport of curling by Ken Watson. One of George's greatest pleasures was baking and feeding it to others. A gathering to celebrate George's life will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Condolences can be emailed to condolences@reddeerfuneralhome.com and will be forwarded directly to the family.
