George HENWOOD

HENWOOD, George William 1919- 2007 Mr. George Henwood, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 16, 2007 at the age of 88 years. George was born on November 7, 1919 in Grandview, Manitoba. He moved to Red Deer in 1949, where he managed the Singer Sewing Machine Company for 30 years. George was a quiet man devoted to his family and First Church Of The Nazarene, to which he belonged for over 50 years. He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his family and his church family. George is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, June of Red Deer, his loving children, Maureen (Laurence) Leischner of Torrington, Brock (Pearl) Henwood of Red Deer, Dale (Barb) Henwood of Calgary, Karen (Rolly) Cowan, Brenda (Bill) Winter, Mark (Sue) Henwood all of Red Deer, seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother, father and two brothers. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer, on Sunday, November 18, 2007 between 7-8:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the First Church Of The Nazarene, 2 McVicar Street, Red Deer on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held at Alto-Reste Cemetery.
